Shawn Wayan is an American actor who has donned various hats in his lifetime – he is a DJ, producer, writer and comedian. Wayan has been a prominent performer of the television and has done supporting acts in films.
Shawn Wayan’s breakthrough came with the Fox channel’s ‘In Living Color’, as DJ SW-1. He later became a featured performer in the show. A couple of television appearances later, Wayan created and starred in the sitcom ‘The Wayans Bros’. Same time, he co-wrote, co-executive produced and starred in the feature film ‘Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood’. He did a supporting role in ‘New Blood’ but what brought him public attention was the 2000 flick ‘Scary Movie’. In 2001, he reprised his role in its sequel ‘Scary Movie 2’. His role of Ray Wilkins was Wayan’s best role until then.
Following the phenomenal success of Scary Movie series, Wayan’s filmography became somewhat unstable. He had a couple of flops such as ‘White Chicks’ and ‘Little Man’ and a few average films, such as ‘Scream’ and ‘Dance Flick’.
