Nicole Evangeline Lilly first appeared in commercials and in non-speaking parts on several TV-series, including ‘Smallville’ (2002-2004), ‘Kingdom Hospital’ (2004) and a few films.
Lilly’s breakout role as ‘Kate Austen’ in the long-running and acclaimed series ‘Lost’ (2004-2010), which earned her praise, awards and nominations. She was part of the award-winning cast of the war-thriller film ‘The Hurt Locker’ (2008), and played the lead in the psychological thriller ‘Afterwards’ (2008).
Lilly then appeared as ‘Bailey Tallet’ in the sci-fi sports-drama ‘Real Steel’ (2011). Next, she starred as elf warrior ‘Tauriel’ in ‘The Hobbit’ series- ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’ (2013), and ‘The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies’ (2014). She appeared as ‘Hope Van Dyne/Wasp’ in Marvel Cinematic Universe’s ‘Ant-Man’ (2015), ‘Ant-Man & the Wasp’ (2018), and ‘Avengers: Endgame’ (2019).
Lilly will star in the crime-thriller ‘Crisis’ (2021) and reprise her role ‘Wasp’ in ‘Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania’ (2023).
