Donald Faison made his film debut in the 1992 American crime thriller ‘Juice’ directed by Ernest R. Dickerson. The film earned praise from critics and was a commercial success. That same year, he also made his first television appearance in the Episode: "23.58" of the American educational children's television series ‘Sesame Street.’ He continued to appear in series like ‘New York Undercover’ (1996), ‘Sabrina, the Teenage Witch’ (1996-2000), ‘Clueless’ (1996-1999), ‘Sister, Sister’ (1998), ‘Supreme Sanction’ (1999), and ‘Felicity’ (2000-2002). In 2001, he joined the main cast of the American medical comedy-drama television series ‘Scrubs.’ He played the role of ‘Christopher Turk’ which earned him several award nominations including 7 ‘NAACP Image Award’ and 4 ‘Teen Award’ nominations. The show aired its final episode in 2010.
In 2005, he became a part of the voice cast of the American adult animated stop motion sketch comedy television series, ‘Robot Chicken.’ He is still a part of the series and voices the character ‘Gary the Stormtrooper.’ Faison next appeared in television series like ‘The Playbook’ (2006), ‘Saturday Night Live’ (2007), ‘The Boondocks’ (2008), ‘American Dad!’ (2009), Fact ‘Checkers Unit’ (2010), and ‘Love Bites’ (2011). In 2011, he starred as ‘Phil Chase’ in the American sitcom ‘The Exes’ created by Mark Reisman. The show aired its final episode in 2015. In 2012, he voiced the character ‘Bartik’ in the American animated science fiction television series ‘Tron: Uprising.’ He was next seen in television series like ‘Wedding Band’ (2013), ‘Hollywood Game Night’ (2014), ‘Undateable’ (2015), ‘Supermansion’ (2015-2018), ‘Winsanity’ (2016), ‘Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television’ (2017-2019), and ‘Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G.’ (2018).
In 2019, he became a part of the American mystery-themed thriller television series ‘Emergence.’ He played the role of ‘Alex Evans’ and remained a part of the series until it went off-air in 2020. Apart from television, Faison has also appeared in films like ‘Butter’ (1998), Trippin' (1999), ‘Remember the Titans’ (2020), ‘Big Fat Liar’ (2002), ‘Good Boy!’ (2003), ‘Homie Spumoni’ (2006), ‘Next Day Air’ (2009), ‘Pitch Perfect’ (2012), and ‘Game Over, Man!’ (2018).
He was last seen playing the role of ‘Tom Maultsby’ in the American drama television series ‘The L Word: Generation Q’ in 2021. He is all set to appear in the upcoming American computer-animated television series ‘Alice's Wonderland Bakery.’
