Floyd and Louis were the country's most illustrious musical duos till they broke up and vowed to never see each other again. However, twenty years later, they are invited to pay a musical tribute at the Apollo Theatre honoring their late band leader. They just have five days to offer an olive branch before they take the stage. 

After getting fired the previous day, Craig spends his Friday afternoon smoking weed with his friend Smokey. However, the zoo-lion disappoints his father being unable to complete the rite of passage, while his homesick friends eagerly wait for the penguins to fix the plane.
