John Ritter was an American actor who started his acting career with stage shows and theatre performances. He had is first TV role in the show ‘Dan August’ in 1970. He continued appearing in shows like ‘The Waltons’ (1972-76), ‘Rhoda’ (1975), ‘Starsky & Hutch’ (1976) until he got his first major role in the sitcom ‘Three’s Company’ (1977-84) for which he won ‘Primtime Emmy’ and a ‘Golden Globe’ in 1984.Â
His other hit TV shows include ‘Three’s Crowd’ (1984-85), ‘Hooperman’ (1987-89), ‘Hearts Afire’ (1992-95), ‘Felicity’ (2000-02), ‘8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter’ (2002-03) etc.
John made his film debut in ‘The Barefoot Executive’ (1971). He had worked in many successful films like ‘Skin Deep’ (1989), ‘It’ (1990), ‘Problem Child’ (1990), ‘Stay Tuned’ (1992), ‘Nowhere’ (1997), ‘Lethal Vows’ (1999), ‘Panic’ (2000), ‘Terror Tract’ (2000), ‘Hacks’ (2002), ‘Bad Santa’ (2003) etc.
