James Thomas Patrick Walsh was a celebrated American actor. In 1983, he appeared in ‘Eddie Macon’s Run,’ in which he had a minor role. He increasingly accepted the bad guy roles, appearing in more than fifty films. Despite being typecast as a villain, he played up to par characters in ‘Sniper’ and ‘Outbreak.’
He also appeared in ‘A Few Good Man,’ where he played the role of a sympathetic Marine. Some of his other noteworthy films include ‘Sling Blade,’ ‘Hoffa,’ ‘Tin Men,’ ‘Good Morning, Vietnam,’ ‘Pleasantville,’ ‘Nixon,’ ‘Breakdown,’ ‘Right to Kill,’ ‘Narrow Margin,’ ‘The Russian House,’ ‘Hannah and Her Sisters,’ ‘The Negotiator,’ ‘Red Rock West,’ and ‘Backdraft.’
Some of his notable television credits include ‘Dark Skies,’ ‘L.A. Law,’ ‘Gang in Blue,’ and ‘The X Files.’ He was also a part of a few off-Broadway shows.
