Meredith Baxter is an American actress and producer, best known for her role as ‘Nancy Lawrence Maitland’ in the TV series ‘Family’ (1976 –1980). She has also earned five ‘Primetime Emmy Award’ nominations for ‘Family,’ ‘CBS Schoolbreak Special,’ ‘A Woman Scorned: The Betty Broderick Story,’ and ‘The Young and the Restless.’
Overall, she has appeared in more than 50 TV shows in her career. She made her TV debut in the legal drama ‘The Young Lawyers,’ in 1971. Her other popular appearances came in TV shows such as ‘Bridget Loves Bernie’ (1972–1973), ‘Family Ties’ (1982 – 1989), ‘The Faculty’ (1996), ‘Family Guy’ (2009 – 2011), ‘Finding Carter’ (2014 – 2015), and ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ (2016). She made her film debut in the comedy film ‘Stand Up and Be Counted’ (1972). Her other films include ‘All the President's Men’ (1976), ‘Devil's Pond’ (2003), and ‘Reading Writing and Romance’ (2013).
