Prior to becoming an actor, Wayne Rogers served in the United States Navy. Recipient of a star on the ‘Hollywood Walk of Fame,’ Rogers started his career on television starring in a number of sitcoms and dramas, including ‘Gunsmoke,’ ‘The Fugitive,’ ‘Combat!,’ ‘Gomer Pyle,’ ‘The F.B.I.,’ ‘The Invaders,’ ‘U.S.M.C.,’ and ‘Have Gun Will Travel.’ He played a supporting role in ‘Cool Hand Luke,’ a prison drama film, in 1967. He is renowned for portraying Captain “Trapper” John Mclntyre in ‘M*A*S*H,’ the war comedy-drama television series. Some of his other popular and noteworthy film credits include ‘It Happened One Christmas,’ ‘Dr. Sex,’ ‘The Hot Touch,’ ‘Odds Against Tomorrow,’ ‘The Astro-Zombies,’ ‘Ghosts of Mississippi,’ ‘I Dream of Jeannie: Fifteen Years Later,’ and ‘Miracle Landing,’ amongst various others.
