Doris Roberts is best known for her role as Raymond Barone’s mother, Marie Barone, in the popular sitcom ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ (1996 – 2005). She received positive reviews for her role as 'Grandma Ruth' in the series ‘Lizzie McGuire’ (2001 – 2003), as 'Gladys' in ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ (2012), and as 'Doris' in ‘Desperate Housewives’ (2012).
