Brian Doyle-Murray, the elder brother of actor Bill Murray, is an American actor, screenwriter, voice-over artist, and comedian. He has been a part of many films and TV shows, both as a writer and actor. He worked at a comedy enterprise ‘The Second City’ before he made his debut as a ‘detective’ in the 1972 film ‘Fuzz.’ He rose to recognition after appearing in ‘Saturday Night Live with Howard Cosell,’ in 1975. He continued working for ‘SNL’ as a writer and artist until 1981.
As an actor, he has worked in popular films such as ‘Ghostbusters II’ (1989), ‘Groundhog Day’ (1993), ‘As Good as it Gets’ (1997) and ‘Daddy Day Camp’ (2007). His TV shows include ‘SpongeBob Square Pants’ (1999-2017), ‘The Middle’ (2009-2017), ‘Sullivan and Son’ (2012-2014), and ‘Lodge 49’ (2018-present).Â
Murray has been nominated thrice for ‘Emmy Awards’ for his work in ‘Saturday Night Live.’
