Charles Grodin is an American talk show host, actor, comedian, and author. He is best known for playing ‘Lenny Cantrow’ in the romantic comedy ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ (1972), a role which earned him a nomination for ‘Golden Globe Award’ under ‘Best Actor’ category. Charles began his acting career in 1954 in an adventure film ‘20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.’ His first significant performance came on the soap opera ‘The Young Marrieds’ in 1964. Since then, he has appeared in numerous TV shows, such as ‘The Virginian’ (1967), ‘Catch-22’ (1970), ‘Louie’ (2014-15), and ‘Madoff’ (2016). His popular films are ‘Rosemary's Baby’ (1968), ‘Midnight Run,’ (1988), ‘So I Married an Axe Murderer’ (1993), and ‘The Comedian’ (2016). He has also been part of some not so-successful projects, such as ‘Sex and the College Girl’ (1964), ‘Sunburn’ (1976), and ‘The Humbling’ (2014). He was the host of ‘The Charles Grodin Show’ (1995-98).
