Garry Emmanuel Shandling was an American actor, director, stand-up comedian, producer, and writer. Two of Gary Shandling's best-known shows, are ‘It’s Garry Shandling’s Show’ (1986 – 1990) and ‘The Larry Sanders Show’ (1992 – 1998). The actor with a postgraduate degree in creative writing received his first major break as a writer for the NBC series ‘Sanford and Son’ (1975 – 1976).
