David Duchovny made his debut in the 1988 American romantic comedy-drama film ‘Working Girl’ directed by Mike Nichols. The film opened to positive reviews and did decent business at the box office. The following year, he starred as ‘Billy’ in the American comedy-drama film ‘New Year's Day.’ In 1990, he starred as ‘DEA Agent Denise Bryson’ in the American mystery-horror serial drama television series ‘Twin Peaks.’ He appeared in 3 episodes and remained on the show until 1991. In 1992, he became a part of the American anthology erotic drama series ‘Red Shoe Diaries.’ The series aired its final episode in 1993. He next joined the main cast of the American science fiction drama television series ‘The X-Files’ where he played the role of ‘Fox Mulder.’ The show ran for 9 years and aired its final episode in 2002. The Cat’ (1995), ‘Frasier’ (1996), ‘Duckman: Private Dick/Family Man’ (1997), and ‘Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist’ (1998). In 1998, he reprised his role as ‘FBI Special Agent Fox Mulder’ in the American science fiction thriller film ‘The X-Files: Fight the Future’ directed by Rob Bowman. The film received a mixed response from critics and was a commercial success. In 2000, he appeared in the American romantic comedy-drama film ‘Return to Me’ directed by Bonnie Hunt. The film saw mixed reviews upon release. The following year, he was seen playing the role of ‘JP Prewitt’ in the American comedy film ‘Zoolander.’ The film opened to a mixed reception and was a financial success. He continued to star in films like ‘Full Frontal’ (2002), ‘Connie and Carla’ (2004), ‘Trust the Man’ (2005), ‘Queer Duck: the Movie’ (2006), ‘Things We Lost in the Fire’ (2007), and ‘Quantum Hoops’ (2007).
