DeGeneres made her first big-screen appearance in the 1991 Canadian documentary film ‘Wisecracks’ directed by Gail Singer. In 1993, she starred as ‘Coach’ in the American science-fiction comedy film ‘Coneheads’ directed by Steve Barron. In 2003, she voiced ‘Dory’ in the American computer-animated comedy-drama adventure film ‘Finding Nemo’ directed by Andrew Stanton. The film opened to wide critical acclaim and was a massive box office success, grossing over $940.3 million on a budget of $94 million. That same year, she also created the American daytime television variety comedy talk show ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ where she also starred as the host. The show aired 3,294 in a span of 19 seasons before going off-air in 2022. DeGeneres also received several awards, including 32 ‘Daytime Emmy Awards,’ for the show.
