The Last Leaf is a short drama film which tells the story of a young girl, who loses her will to live, due to her pneumonia. She eventually decides that she is going to die when the last leaf drops from a dying vine that lies outside her window. In order to save her life, an elderly artist who lives nearby, paints a leaf on the wall with great realism. The girl eventually recovers. However, the artist dies himself due to being out in the cold for too long, while painting the leaf.
