Swayze began his career with dancing by performing as a dancer for Disney on Parade. Following this, he appeared in supporting roles in few films and TV series. His debut movie was ‘Skatetown, U.S.A’ (1979) but his breakthrough performance was in the movie ‘Dirty Dancing’ (1987) where he played the iconic role of dance instructor Johnny Castle. Subsequently, he was seen in ‘Tiger’ Warsaw’ (1988), ‘Ghost’ (1990), ‘City of Joy’ (1992), ‘Black Dog’ (1998), ’11:14’ (2003), ‘Christmas in Wonderland’ (2007), ‘Jump!’ (2008), ‘The Beast’ (2009), and ‘Powder Blue’ (2009).
