Josh Duhamel made his debut in the American television soap opera ‘All My Children’ in 1999. He played the role of ‘Leo du Pres’ which earned him the ‘Daytime Emmy Award.’ Duhamel remained a part of the series until 2002. In 2003, he joined the main cast of the American comedy-drama television series ‘Las Vegas.’ He played the role of ‘Danny McCoy’ for which he received 2 ‘Teen Choice Award’ nominations. The show ran for 5 years and aired its final episode in 2008. Duhamel made his big-screen debut in the 2004 horror drama film ‘The Picture of Dorian Gray’ directed by Dave Rosenbaum. The film received a negative response from critics. That same year, he also appeared in the American romantic comedy film ‘Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!’ directed by Robert Luketic. Despite opening to mixed reviews, the film failed to achieve success at the box office. Nevertheless, Duhamel received 2 ‘Teen Choice Award’ nominations for his performance in the film. He bagged another ‘Teen Choice Award’ nomination for his role as ‘Alex’ in the 2006 American horror film ‘Turistas’ directed by John Stockwell.
In 2007, he starred as ‘Captain William Lennox’ in the American science fiction action film ‘Transformers.’ The film received mixed to positive reviews and was a major financial success. He next appeared in films like ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’ (2009), ‘The Romantics’ (2010), ‘Ramona and Beezus’ (2010), ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ (2011), ‘New Year's Eve’ (2011), ‘Fire with Fire’ (2012), ‘Wings’ (2012), ‘Movie 43’ (2013), ‘You're Not You’ (2014), and ‘Don Peyote’ (2014). In 2015, he starred as ‘FBI Special Agent Milton Chamberlain’ in the American comedy-drama television series ‘Battle Creek.’ The show ended after airing 13 episodes. In 2018, Duhamel became a part of the American true crime anthology television miniseries ‘Unsolved’ where he portrayed ‘Detective Greg Kading.’ The series received a positive response from critics.Â
Duhamel was next seen in films like ‘Love, Simon’ (2018), ‘Capsized: Blood in the Water’ (2019), ‘Buddy Games’ (2019), ‘The Lost Husband’ (2020), and ‘Night of the Animated Dead’ (2021). In 2021, he joined the voice cast of the Japanese–American anime television series ‘Blade Runner: Black Lotus’ where he voiced the character ‘Marlowe.’ The show aired its final episode in February 2022. He is all set to appear in the upcoming American romantic comedy action film ‘Shotgun Wedding’ directed by Jason Moore.
