Nick Robinson made his debut as ‘Ryder Scanlon’ in the family TV series ‘Melissa & Joey’ in 2010. He garnered considerable fame for his role and remained a part of the show until it went off-air in 2015. He made his film debut in the 2012 comedy-drama television film ‘Frenemies,’ directed by Daisy von Scherler Mayer. The following year, Nick starred in the coming-of-age comedy-drama film ‘The Kings of Summer.’ While the film opened to positive reviews, it didn’t gain much success at the box office.
Nick Robinson next appeared in the 2015 science action film ‘Jurassic World’ directed by Colin Trevorrow. He played the role of ‘Zach Mitchell’ in the film for which he was nominated for the ‘Young Entertainer Award.’ ‘Jurassic World’ was a huge success at the box office and became one of the highest-grossing movies of that year. He also starred in films like Being ‘Charlie’ (2015) and ‘The 5th Wave’ (2016). The year 2017 saw the release of Stella Meghie-directed romantic drama film ‘Everything, Everything.’ The film received mixed reviews from critics but managed to do decent business at the box office.
In 2018, Nick starred as ‘Simon Spier’ in the romantic comedy film ‘Love, Simon’ directed by Greg Berlanti. He earned critical acclaim for his role and won several awards, including ‘MTV Movie & TV Award’ and ‘Teen Choice Award’ for his performance in the film.
