Stephen Colbert is an American TV show host, actor, comedian, writer, and producer. He is best known for his talk show, ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert‘ (2015-present). He also hosted ‘The Colbert Report,’ a sardonic comedy, from 2004 to 2014. He started his career as a theatre actor, and performed in experimental plays. He co-created the sketch comedy show ‘Exit 57’ (1995-1996). He made brief appearances in shows such as ‘Strangers with Candy’ (1999-2000), ‘Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law’ (2001-2007), and ‘The Wrong Coast’ (2004), before he was hired on trial basis in the show ‘The Colbert Report,’ in 2005. He was a significant part of the show for 1400 episodes, as the host, writer, executive producer, and co-creator. He made his film debut in the 2003 film ‘Nobody Knows Anything!’ (2003). His other films include ‘Bewitched’ (2005), ‘The Love Guru’ (2008), ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’ (2013), and ‘Too Funny to Fall’ (2017).
