Nick Lachey first appeared in the American television sitcom ‘City Guys’ in 1998. In 2003, he became a part of the American reality television series ‘Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica.’ The show followed his married life with Jessica Simpson and aired 41 episodes before going off-air in 2005. He also made a guest appearance on the dating/reality series Room Raiders (2003). In 2004, he appeared in the Episode: "To Tell the Truth" of the American drama television series ‘American Dreams’ created by Jonathan Prince. That same year, he also starred as ‘Leslie St. Claire’ in the American fantasy drama television series ‘Charmed.’ He appeared in 6 episodes of the series. Lachey was next seen in television series and shows such as ‘Hope & Faith’ (2004), ‘Bewitched’ (2005), ‘Twins’ (2006), and Overhaulin' (2006).
He starred as ‘Jason Burns’ in the 2006 American action crime drama film ‘The Hard Easy’ directed by Ari Ryan. The film was released straight-to-DVD and received mixed reviews from critics. The following year, he made a cameo appearance in the American horror film ‘Rise: Blood Hunter’ directed by Sebastian Gutierrez. The film opened to mostly negative reviews from critics. In 2008, he became a part of the reality talent contest miniseries, ‘Clash of the Choirs’ as the ‘Choir Director.’ After making an appearance in ‘One Tree Hill’ (2009) and ‘Taking the Stage’ (2009), he joined the American television singing competition ‘The Sing-Off’ as a host in 2009. The show ran for 5 years and aired its final episode in 2014. He also the American vocal game show ‘The Winner Is’ in 2013.
Lachey went on to appear in television shows like ‘Big Morning Buzz Live’ (2014-2015), ‘Lachey's: Raising the Bar’ (2015), and ‘Burgers, Brew & 'Que.’ In 2015, he joined the American dance competition television series ‘Dancing with the Stars’ as a contestant.
