Carla Gugino made her screen debut on some episodes of the 1988 series ‘Who’s the Boss?’ and ‘Good Morning Miss Bliss.’ Her first feature-film was ‘Troop Beverly Hills’ (1989).
Gugino played a recurring role in ‘Falcon Crest’ (1989-1990), and appeared in the series ‘American Dreamer,’ ‘ALF,’ and others. She played the lead in the comedy-film ‘Son-in-Law’ (1993), and the TV-film ‘A Private Matter’ (1992). In 1995, she featured in the series ‘The Buccaneers,’ and the romantic-comedy ‘Miami Rhapsody.’
Gugino essayed main roles in the series ‘Spin City’ (1996-1998), and the 1998 thriller-movies ‘Snake Eyes,’ and ‘Judas Kiss.’ She featured in the medical-series ‘Chicago Hope’ (1999-2000), and the action-comedy film-series ‘Spy Kids’ (2001, 2002, 2003). Her title role in the crime-drama series ‘Karen Sisco’ (2003) was followed by ‘Sin City’ (2005) and ‘Night at the Museum’ (2006).
Thereafter, Gugino appeared in series ‘Entourage’ (2007-2010) and ‘Californica’ (2010). Her other notable film-appearances include ‘American Gangster’ (2007), ‘Righteous Kill’ (2008), ‘Watchman,’ ‘Race to Witch Mountain,’ ‘Women in Trouble,’ (2010) and its sequel ‘Elektra Luxx’ (2010).
Gugino featured in ‘Sucker Punch’ (2011), miniseries ‘Political Animals’ (2012), and the disaster-film ‘San Andreas’ (2015). She played the lead in movies ‘Wolves’ (2016), ‘Gerald’s Game’ (2017), and series ‘The Haunting of Hill House’ (2018), and ‘Jett’ (2019).
