Malin Maria Akerman began her career with modeling which led to guest-role in Canadian sci-fi TV-series ‘Earth: Final Conflict’ (1997), then series ‘The Other’ (2000), ‘Relic Hunter’ (2000), ‘Twice in Lifetime’ (2001), ‘Doc’ and ‘Witchblade’ (2001).
Akerman’s first film appearance was in American thriller-film ‘The Skulls’ (2000) followed by ‘The Utopian Society’ (2003) and buddy stoner comedy-film ‘Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle’ (2004).

Akerman’s first starring role was alongside Ben Stiller in black-comedy film ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ (2007). She played supporting-role in romantic-comedy ’27 Dresses’ (2008). After a tittle-role I short-film ‘Bye Bye Sally’ (2009) she played ‘Silk Spectre II’ in superhero film ‘Watchmen’ (2009). This breakthrough role in the hit film fetched her nominations (Best Supporting Actress) for ‘Saturn Award’ and ‘Teen Choice Award.’

In 2012, Akerman starred in several films including comedy ‘Wanderlust,’ dramedy ‘The Giant Mechanical Man,’ musical-comedy ‘Rock of Ages,’ bank heist-film ‘Stolen,’ and crime-film ‘Hotel Noir.’ She was producer-star of sitcom ‘Trophy Wife’ (2013-2014).

Akerman appeared in sitcom ‘Sin City Saints’ (2015), anthology-series ‘Easy’ (2016), played main-role in drama-series ‘Billions’ (2016-2019), and suspected murderer ‘Beulah Annan’ in series ‘Drunk History’ (2019).
