Alanis Morissette is a Canadian singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress known for 'Nip/Tuck' (2006) and 'Weeds' (2009-10). She has worked on stage, television and films throughout her career.
She appeared as herself on the children's television show 'You Can't Do That on Television' in 1986 and on the Brazilian series 'Malhação' a decade later. During the early 2000s, she made guest appearances on 'Sex and the City', 'Curb Your Enthusiasm', 'Celebridade', 'American Dreams' and 'Degrassi: The Next Generation'. She subsequently had recurring roles on 'Nip/Tuck' and 'Weeds', and lent her voice on 'Top Wing'.
Early Alanis Morissette movies included an uncredited appearance in 'Anything For Love' (1993) and a major role in 'Dogma' (1999). In the following years, she had few uncredited acting and singing parts in films and had a starring role in 'Radio Free Albemuth' (2010). She also narrated the 2006 documentary 'The Great Warming'.
