Joel Grey is an American actor, photographer, performer, and director, best known for playing ‘Master of Ceremonies’ in the film ‘Cabaret’ (1966). He won the ‘Academy Award, ‘BAFTA,’ and ‘Golden Globe Award’ for his performance in the musical. He reprised his role in the film adaptation of the same in 1972. He started his career as a stage actor in the early 1940s. He appeared in a lead role in the stage production of ‘On Borrowed Time.’ He made his screen debut in ‘About Face’ in 1952. His popular films include ‘Man on a Swing’ (1974), ‘The Music of Chance’ (1993), ‘My Friend Joe’ (1996), and ‘Choke’ (2008). He made his TV debut on ‘Producer’s Showcase’ in 1956. He earned a ‘Primetime Emmy’ nomination for portraying ‘Jacob Prossman’ on the TV show ‘Brooklyn Bridge’ (1992-1993).
