Bobby Darin was an American singer-songwriter and actor who won a 'Golden Globe Award' for his first film, 'Come September' (1962), starring his wife Sandra Dee, with whom he also appeared in 'If a Man Answers' (1962). He previously had a cameo appearance in 'Pepe' (1960), and went on to earn critical success in films like 'Too Late Blues' (1961) and 'Pressure Point' (1962).
One of his best roles was as a shell-shocked soldier in 'Captain Newman, M.D.' (1963) which earned him a nomination for an 'Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor'. His later filmography included 'That Funny Feeling', 'Gunfight in Abilene', 'Stranger in the House', 'The Happy Ending' and 'Happy Mother's Day, Love George'.
Throughout his career, he made several appearances on television series such as 'Wagon Train', 'The Red Skelton Hour', 'Run for Your Life', 'The Danny Thomas Hour', 'Ironside', 'Night Gallery', and 'Sesame Street'.
