With a career that spread approximately eight decades, Bob Hope starred in more than seventy feature and short films. He holds the feat of hosting the ‘Oscars’ nineteen times. He also appeared in various television roles, stage productions, and in a series of seven ‘Road’ musical comedy films. Hope kicked-off his career as a comedian and dancer, which was followed by acting on ‘Broadway.’
Some of his most popular and noteworthy film credits include, ‘My Favorite Brunette,’ ‘The Ghost Breakers,’ ‘Boy, Did I Get a Wrong Number!,’ ‘Road to Morocco,’ ‘The Lemon Drop Kid,’ ‘Road To Balli,’ ‘Road To Rio,’ ‘Son of Paleface,’ ‘Road to Uthopia,’ ‘My Favorite Blonde,’ and ‘The Seven Little Foys,’ amongst various others.
Hope also starred in various critically acclaimed and financially successful films, including ‘The Paleface,’ and ‘The Cat and the Canary.’ Hope was never nominated for a competitive ‘Academy Award,’ but earned five honorary awards by the ‘Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science.’
