American actor Robert Carradine is best known for his role in the television series ‘Bonanza’ (1971) and ‘Kung Fu’ (1972). His other television appearances were on ‘The Sun Also Rises’ (1984), ‘Lizzie McGuire’ (2001 – 2003) and ‘Jane Doe’ (2005 – 2008). He hosted the reality show ‘King of the Nerds’ with Curtis Armstrong on TBS in January 2013. His biggest film success came with his lead role as Lewis Skolnick in ‘Revenge of the Nerds’ (1984).
His highest rated performances on the big screen include ‘Mean Streets’ (1973), ‘The Big Red One’ (1980), ‘The Player’ (1992) and ‘Supercross’ (2005). ‘The Tommyknockers’ (1993) and ‘Rude Awakening’ (1989) did not do that well at the box office.
Carradine is a respected Hollywood personality who was honoured at the 16th Golden Boot Awards in 1998. His children have carried on his legacy of acting in Hollywood.
