John Carradine was a legendary American actor and theatre artist. He is best known for playing various diabolical characters in many horror films such as ‘The Invisible Man’ (1933), ‘Bride of Frankenstein’ (1935) and ‘House of Dracula’ (1945). He started as a theatre actor. During the 40s, he performed toured with his own company and often performed ‘Hamlet’ and ‘Macbeth. ‘He also performed on Broadway shows such as ‘A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum’ and ‘The Madwoman of Chaillot.’ He toured with road companies such as ‘Tobacco Road’ and ‘Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.’ In a career span of six decades, John claimed to have appeared in more than 400 films such as ‘The Prisoner of Shark Island’ (1936), ‘The Grapes of Wrath’ (1940) and ‘The Ten Commandments’ (1956). He also appeared in TV shows such as ‘The Twilight Zone’ (1959) and ‘The Night Strangler’ (1973).
