Melody Thomas Scott is best remembered for her role as ‘Nikki Newman’ on the popular soap opera ‘The Young and the Restless’ (1979-present). Melody made her screen debut in an uncredited role as ‘Young Marnie’ in the 1964 film ‘Marnie.’ Her first credited role was of ‘Samantha’ in an episode of the series ‘Wagon Train,’ in 1965.  She appeared in TV series, such as ‘Ironside’ (1969), ‘Code R’ (1977), ‘Charlie's Angels’ (1978), and ‘The Rockford Files’ (1979), before she had a regular role in the hit series ‘The Young and the Restless.’ She won a ‘Soap Opera Digest Award’ in 2001for her performance in the show. Some of her other performances came in TV series, such as ‘Hotel’ (1985), ‘The King of Queens’ (2000), ‘My Name Is Earl’ (2007), and ‘The Crazy Ones’ (2014), which was also her final screen appearance.Â
