Carrie Snodgress started her career with minor appearances on television. She was seen in ‘Easy Rider,’ in an uncredited role which marked her film debut. This was followed by a credited performance in ‘Rabbit, Run.’
She bagged in two ‘Golden Globe Award’ and two ‘Laurel Awards’ for her phenomenal performance in ‘Diary of a Mad Housewife,’ where she played the lead. She also earned an ‘Academy Award’ and a ‘BAFTA Award’ nomination for the same.
She took a hiatus and returned to acting with ‘The Fury,’ in 1978. Some of her other noteworthy roles in films include ‘In the Light of the Moon,’ ‘Across the Tracks,’ ‘Pale Rider,’ ‘Wild Things,’ ‘Blue Sky,’ ‘Murphy’s Law,’ ‘A Night in Heaven,’ amongst various others.
