Russell Edward Brand started his acting career with brief appearances in TV series ‘The Bill’ and ‘Mud’ (1994) and a few more shows. He gained recognition as a host of MTV’s ‘Big Brother’s Big Mouth’ (2004-2007).
Brand’s first movie appearance came in a small role in ‘Penelope’ (2006), but had a substantial role in ‘St. Trinian’s’ (2007). His role as ‘Aldous Snow’ in ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ (2008), and its spin-off sequel, ‘Get Him to the Greek’ (2010), fetched him appreciation and popularity. Brand starred in ‘Bedtime Stories’ (2008) and ‘The Tempest’ (2010).
Brand provided voice for ‘Dr. Nefario’ in computer-animated ‘Despicable Me’ (2010), and its 2013 sequel. He voiced ‘E.B.’ in the commercially successful animated-film ‘Hop’ (2011) and as  ‘Creek’ in ‘Trolls’ (2016).
Brand starred as the protagonist in ‘Arthur’ (2011), and featured in the musical ‘Rock of Ages’ (2012), the comedy-drama ‘Paradise’ (2013), and essayed ‘God’ in the comedy film ‘Army of One’ (2016).
In 2015, Brand appeared in the biographical documentary ‘Brand: A Second Coming,’ and in documentaries ‘A Royal Hangover’ (2014) and ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’ (2015).
Brand hosted a few TV-comedy shows. He launched the web-series ‘The Trews’ (2014), and was seen in the series ‘Ballers’ (2018).
