In this movie adaptation of Charles Dickens's 1843 story, Ebenezer Scrooge is an obnoxious and miserly old moneylender with huge disdain for happiness surrounding Christmas. On one Christmas Eve, the ghost of his old business partner visits and cautions him of a terrible afterlife fate if he does not mend his way. Scrooge is then visited by three spirits who make him realise his drawbacks.
