Catherine Zeta Jones started her career as a child actress in the West End production of the musical ‘Annie.' She moved on to Hollywood and appeared in blockbusters ‘The Mask of Zorro’ (1998), ‘Entrapment’ (1999), ‘Traffic’ (2000),‘Chicago’ (2002), ‘The Terminal’ (2004), ‘No Reservations’ (2007), and ‘Red 2’ (2013). She has also appeared in a few television serials that include ‘The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles’ (1992), ‘Catherine the Great’ (1995), and ‘Feud: Bette and Joan’ (2017).
Her debut French-Italian movie titled ‘1001 Nights’ (1990) failed at the box office, but this did not deter her from pursuing her dreams. She went on to find success in the television serial ‘The Darling Buds of May’ (1991 – 93). She was dismayed about being typecast as a pretty girl in British films and decided to move to Los Angeles to make a new beginning. Here, she married veteran American actor Michael Douglas.
She won an 'Academy Award' for her role in ‘Chicago’ and conferred with the title of ‘Commander of the Order of the British Empire’ (CBE) for her contribution to films and charity. Fans know her for her stunning looks and are eager to see her on screen.
