American stand-up comedian, writer-actor-producer John Edmund Mulaney is well-known for his stand-up specials and TV-writing.
Mulaney participated in children’s sketch group ‘Rugrats’ and his university improv group. Later, in ‘Comedy Central,’ he helped create ‘I Love the ‘30s.’ Hired as a writer at ‘Saturday Night Live’ (2008), Mulaney co-created the character ‘Stefon’ for ‘Weekend Update,’ earning recognition and Primetime Emmy nomination for writing.
Mulaney’s stand-up specials, ‘The Top Part’ (2009), ‘Now in Town’ (2012), ‘The Comeback Kid’ (2017), and ‘Kid Gorgeous’ (2018) brought him fame and a ‘Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special’ for ‘Kid Gorgeous.’
In 2014, Mulaney created semi-autobiographical series ‘Mulaney.’ He is co-executive producer/writer for mockumentary series ‘Documentary Now!’ (2015—present). He received appreciation as ‘George St. Geegland’ in the show ‘Oh, Hello on Broadway’ (2016).
He played supporting roles in ‘Difficult People’ (2016), ‘Crashing’ (2017), and ‘Portlandia’ (2018). He provided voice for ‘Spider-Ham’ in the Oscar-winning animated film ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ (2018) and the short film ‘Back on the Air’ (2020).
His children musical comedy special ‘John Mulaney and the Sack Lunch Bunch’ (2019) fetched him two Emmy nominations. Presently he is voice-actor for Netflix show, ‘Big Mouth.’
Thirty years after their popular TV show ended, Chip and Dale are living amongst humans in modern day Los Angeles. However, they are living very different lives. However, when a former cast mate mysteriously disappears, they repair their broken friendship, and reunite to save their friend.
