Sonali Bendre is an Indian model, film actress and television personality. Although majorly known for her work in Hindi movies, she has also appeared in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Marathi language movies. She made her Bollywood debut with 'Aag' (1994) opposite actor Govinda. Then after appearing in the hits 'Naaraaz' (1994) and 'English Babu Desi Mem' (1996), the actress starred in 'Diljale' (1996) which established her career.
After this, she went on to act in the successful films 'Sapoot' (1996), 'Bhai' (1997), 'Tarazu' (1997), 'Qahar' (1997), 'Duplicate' (1998), 'Major Saab' (1998), 'Sarfarosh' (1999), 'Hum Saath-Saath Hain' (1999), 'Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai' (2000) and 'Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hain' (2000). Besides these, Bendre also starred in many Telugu hit films such as 'Indra' (2002), 'Khadgam' (2002), 'Manmadhudu' (2002) and 'Shankar Dada M.B.B.S.' (2004). The list of her flop movies includes 'Angaaray' (1998), and 'Palnati Brahmanayudu' (2003).
The beautiful actress has also worked on television. She has served as a judge on a number of reality shows including 'Indian Idol' (2008-2009), 'India's Got Talent' (2009-2012) and 'India's Best Dramebaaz' (2013-2016). She has also starred in the opera 'Ajeeb Daastaan Hai Ye' (2014-2015).
