Kunal Khemu made his debut as a child artist in the TV series ‘Gul Gulshan Gulfaam’ in 1987. He made his film debut in the 1993 Hindi-language romantic drama film ‘Sir,’ directed by Mahesh Bhatt. As a child actor, he appeared in various Hindi films, including ‘Hum Hai Rahi Pyaar Ke’ (1993), ‘Naaraaz’ (1994), ‘Raja Hindustani’ (1996), and ‘Tamanna’ (1997). Khemu debuted as the male lead in the Mohit Suri-directed 2005 thriller film ‘Kalyug.’ He earned wide praise for his performance and won the ‘Stardust Award’ in the category of ‘Superstar of Tomorrow - Male.’ He then appeared in films like ‘Traffic Signal’ (2007), ‘Dhol’ (2007), ‘Superstar’ (2008), ‘Jai Veeru’ (2008), and ‘99’ (2008).
In 2010, he starred as ‘Laxman Sharma’ in the action comedy film ‘Golmaal 3’ directed by Rohit Shetty. It was the third film in the Golmaal film series. Despite opening to mixed reviews, ‘Golmaal 3’ became a major box office success. In 2013, he appeared in the first Indian zombie film ‘Go Goa Gone,’ directed by Raj and D.K. The film received mixed reviews from critics and was a commercial success. He was next seen in ‘Bhaag Johnny’ (2015), ‘Guddu Ki Gun’ (2015), ‘Golmaal Again’ (2017), where he reprised his role as ‘Laxman Sharma; ‘Kalank’ (2019), and ‘Malang’ (2020).Â
In the 2020 morbid humor film ‘Lootcase,’ directed by Rajesh Krishnan, Khemu received praise for his performance, while the film too received critical acclaim. He plays the role of ‘SP Abhay Pratap Singh’ in the Indian Hindi-language crime thriller web series ‘Abhay.’ Khemu is all set to appear in ‘Kanjoos Makkhichoos.’
Go Goa Gone is an action adventure horror comedy film which tells the story of three young men, Hardik, Luv and Bunny, who decide to go to Goa and relax. When they visited an isolated island for a rave party, the next morning they find themselves stranded. They soon realize that they are surrounded by flesh-eating zombies. Soon, a Russian mercenary of Indian origin, comes to help them survive and slay the zombies.

They soon learn that their childhood friend Khushi has passed away. When they meet her ghost, they decide to help her attain salvation.
