Fabio Lanzoni began his career as model and has appeared on covers of numerous romance novels and also, on video games. His first film appearance was as an ‘Angel’ (uncredited) in ‘Exorcist III’ (1990).
Further, Lanzoni appeared in minor roles in various films including Woody Allen-starrer comedy-film ‘Scenes from a Mall’ (1991), buddy-cop action-comedy ‘The Hard Way’ (1991), satirical black-comedy ‘Death Becomes Her’ (1992).
Lanzoni made his TV debut as ‘Claudio’ in syndicated TV-series ‘Acapulco H.E.A.T.’ (1992-1993). He appeared as himself in series ‘Roseanne’ and played cameo-role in children’s series ‘Bobby’s World’ (both 1995). He was part of a comedy-sketch in an episode of ‘Late Night with Conan O’Brien’ (1998), and appeared in episode ‘Absolutely Fabio’ of the series ‘Step by Step’ (1997).
Lanzoni appeared in guest role in series ‘The Bold & the Beautiful’ on various occasions (2002, 2003, 2012), and also in other series including ‘Yes Dear,’ Swedish show ‘High Chaparall’ (2003) and others. He played cameo roles in comedy-film ‘Eddie’ (1996), spy parody film ‘Spy Hard’ (1996), stoner comedy-film ‘Dude, Where’s My Car?’ (2000). In comedy-film ‘Zoolander’ (2001) he satirized himself.
In black-comedy film ‘Bubble Boy’ (2001) Lanzoni appeared in cameo role as ‘Gil.’ He was host of the tongue-in-cheek reality TV-show ‘Mr. Romance’ (2005) wherein a contestant was chosen as ‘Mr. Romance’ to model for romance novel cover.
Lanzoni appeared as himself in TV-series such as ‘Bo! In the USA’ (2006), ‘Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide’ (2007), ‘Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory’ (2009, 2012), ‘Cupcake Wars’ (2011), ‘Lemon La Vida Loca’ (2013), ‘Almost Royal’ (2014) and others. He played ‘Captain Hawk’ in an episode of teen sitcom ‘The Suite Life on Deck’ and appeared in 3 episodes of musical comedy-series ‘Big Time Rush’ (both 2010).
Lanzoni’s later movie appearances include ‘Hollywood Sex Wars’ (2011), comedy-film ‘Dumbbells’ (2014), ‘Knight of Cups’ (2015) and as ‘Pope’ in ‘Sharknado 5: Global Swarming’ (2017).
