Based on the eponymous novel by Stieg Larsson, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is a thriller that centers around a journalist, played by Daniel Craig, trying to solve the mysterious disappearance of a rich woman 40 years ago. He is aided by a tattooed hacker, portrayed by Rooney Mara, who helps him uncover the dark secrets of Sweden’s high society.

A government intelligence officer manages to manipulate a group of supervillains to become part of a team to help them in a special mission, in exchange for shortened sentences. They are sent to a South American island named Corto Maletese, where their task is destroying a lab from the Nazi-era, as it houses several dangerous secret experiments. However, dealing with the military of Corto Maltese seems far more dangerous than they had imagined.
