French actress Élodie Yung began acting on TV when she was 20 years old. Her initial roles were minor ones in small TV shows. She then went on to pursue a law degree at the University of Paris but quit her legal career in her late 20s to return to acting.
In 2004, Élodie Yung made her film debut as the female lead Tsu in the action film ‘Les fils du vent.’ In the ensuing years, she appeared in ‘Fragile(s)’ (2007) as Isa and ‘Home Sweet Home’ (2008) as Marie-Jo. In 2009, she played the gang lord Tao in the action thriller ‘District 13: Ultimatum.’ She also returned to TV to play Laura Maurier in three seasons of the police TV series ‘Les Bleus’ from 2006 to 2010.
Élodie Yung portrayed Miriam Wu, a romantic interest of Lisbeth Salander, in the 2011 film ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.’ She appeared as the ninja Jinx in the TV show ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’ in 2013. She played goddess Hathor in the film ‘God of Egypt’ in 2016. The same year, she starred as Amelia Roussel in the action comedy film ‘The Hitman's Bodyguard.’ The movie also featured Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson.
Élodie Yung played Elektra in season 2 of the TV show ‘Daredevil’ in 2016. She reprised the role in ‘The Defenders’ in 2017. She played the role of Catherine in the Disney+ film ‘Secret Society of Second-Born Royals’ in 2020. The actress began starring as Thony in the Fox crime drama series ‘The Cleaning Lady’ in 2022.
