Valerie Bertinelli is an American actor and television personality who found her real calling in acting when she took up a course in acting from the Tami Lynn School of Artists, in Los Angeles.Â
Bertinelli’s first break came in as a guest role in the television show ‘Apple’s Way’. Immediately thereafter, Bertinelli found her breakthrough role as Barbara Cooper Royer in ‘One Day at a Time’. The show was a grand hit and Bertinelli’s future was sealed. The show lasted for nine years, with a total of 209 episodes. Subsequently, she did a long list of television films, such as ‘Silent Witness’, ‘I Was a Mail Order Bride’, ‘The Princess and the Cabbie’, ‘Rockabye’ and so on before starring in the popular television series ‘Sydney’ and ‘Cafe Americain’. In 2001, she featured as Gloria in the religious show ‘Touched by an Angel’ and later in 2010 in the sitcom ‘Hot in Cleveland’ as Melanie Moretti. Both the shows were super successful and turned out to give Bertinelli her best roles ever.Â
Lately since 2015, Bertinelli has been hosting the cooking shows ‘Valerie's Home Cooking’ and ‘Kids Baking Championship’ on Food Network.
