She is also famous for playing Joy Scroggs on ‘Hot in Cleveland.’ ‘Throb’ marked her first lead which was though short-lived. She was then seen playing a recurring role in ‘Murphy Brown.’ She also gained recognition her roles in films, including ‘The Event,’ the drama film, ‘James and the Giant Peach,’ the musical fantasy film, ‘Miracle on 34th Street,’ the Christmas fantasy film and ‘Music of the Heart,’ the musical drama.
