Ray Walston was an American actor and comedian, best remembered for his lead role on the TV sitcom ‘My Favorite Martian,’ from 1963 to 1966. He made his ‘Broadway’ debut in 1945, in a production of Maurice Evans's ‘The G.I. Hamlet.’ He starred in plays such as ‘South Pacific’ (1951), ‘Damn Yankees’ (1955), and ‘There Shall Be No Night’ (1957). He made his first screen appearance in an episode of a TV series called ‘The Web’ (1954). He made his film debut in ‘Kiss Them for Me’ (1957). Some of his popular films are ‘South Pacific’ (1958), ‘Damn Yankees’ (1958), ‘The Apartment’ (1960), ‘Kiss Me, Stupid’ (1964), ‘Rad’ (1986), The Player’ (1992), and ‘Of Mice and Men’ (1992). His list of failed films include ‘Private School’ (1983), ‘Ski Patrol’ (1990), ‘Space Case’ (1992), and ‘Early Bird Special’ (2001). His final screen appearance came in the TV drama ‘7th Heaven,’ in 2001.
