Five ‘Grammy Award,’ and ‘Emmy Award’ winner, Pryor’s works also included recording and concert movies like ‘Richard Pryor: Live in Concert,’ ‘...Is It Something I Said?,’ ‘Richard Pryor: Live & Smokin',’ ‘Richard Pryor: Here and Now,’ ‘Bicentennial Nigger,’ ‘Richard Pryor: Live on the Sunset Strip,’ and ‘That Nigger's Crazy.’
He often collaborated with Gene Wilder and Paul Mooney on several projects.
Some of his other noteworthy works include, ‘Harlem Nights,’ ‘Blazing Saddles,’ ‘Moving,’ ‘See No Evil, Hear No Evil,’ ‘Brewster’s Milestone,’ ‘The Toy,’ and ‘Stir Crazy,’ besides various others.
Pryor also wrote for various television shows, including ‘The Flip Wilson Show,’ and ‘Sanford and Son.’
Fred Madison, a Jazz musician, who is suspicious of his wife Renee’s loyalty, receives video tapes of their house, and one showing Renee’s murder. Accused of her murder, he is sentenced to death. In the prison, he mysteriously transforms into mechanic Peter Dayton, who is then released. Peter meets a gangster’s girlfriend, Alice, who is Renee’s mirror-image, which deepens the mystery further.
