Michael J. Fox was first seen in the Episode: "The Master" in the CBC television anthology ‘The Magic Lie’ in 1978. That same year, he also became a part of the Canadian television sitcom ‘Leo and Me’ where he portrayed ‘Jamie Romano.’ The series aired 12 episodes and went off-air in 1981. He made his silver screen debut in the 1980 American comedy film ‘Midnight Madness’ directed by Michael Nankin and David Wechter. The film failed to perform at the box office. In 1982, he starred as ‘Arthur’ in the crime action thriller film ‘Class of 1984’ directed by Mark Lester. The film received mostly positive reviews from critics. That same year, he also joined the cast of the American sitcom television series ‘Family Ties’ created by Gary David Goldberg. He portrayed ‘Alex P. Keaton’ in the show which earned him several awards including the ‘Golden Globe Award’ and 3 ‘Primetime Emmy Awards.’ The series ran for 7 seasons and went off-air in 1989. He portrayed ‘Marty McFly’ in the 1985 American science fiction film ‘Back to the Future’ directed by Robert Zemeckis. The film earned praise from critics and was a massive box office success, grossing over $388.8 million on a budget of $19 million. Back to the Future is now widely considered to be one of the best films ever made.
Fox went on to star in films like ‘Light of Day’ (1987), ‘The Secret of My Success’ (1987), ‘Bright Lights, Big City’ (1988), ‘Back to the Future Part II’ (1989), ‘Back to the Future Part III’ (1990), ‘The Hard Way’ (1991), ‘Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey’ (1993), ‘Greedy’ (1994), ‘Blue in the Face’ (1995), and ‘The American President’ (1995). The series ran for 6 seasons and aired its final episode in 2002. He next appeared in television series like ‘The Chris Rock Show’ (1997), ‘Clone High’ (2002), ‘Scrubs’ (2004), ‘Boston Legal’ (2006), ‘Rescue Me’ (2009), ‘The Good Wife’ (2010-2016), ‘Phineas and Ferb’ (2011), ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ (2011, 2017), ‘The Michael J. He was last seen in the 2021 television miniseries ‘Expedition : Back to the Future.’
