English actress Jaime Murray’s first television appearance was in 1982 when she was all of three years old. In an episode – ‘Grass’ – of the television series ‘Saturday Night Thriller’, she played the role of Bernie's son (Bernie was played by her father Billy Murray). Her professional television debut came in the year 2001 with the police procedural drama ‘The Bill’ in which she portrayed the role of Melanie/Tania Matthews. Her film debut came the following year with the romance movie ‘The Byzantine Cat’ in which she played the lead role of Jane Spencer. She then played minor roles in an episode each of television series like ‘Casualty’ (2002), ‘Keen Eddie’ (2003) and ‘Doctors and Nurses’ (2004). In 2004, she also bagged her breakthrough role in BBC One crime drama series ‘Hustle’. In this series, she played the role of Stacie Monroe in the first four seasons (2004-2007) and later returned to reprise her role (guest part) in the eighth season (2012).
In 2007, Jaime Murray joined the cast of the second season of the Showtime's critically acclaimed crime drama television series ‘Dexter’. In it, she played the recurring role of Lila West, Dexter Morgan's Narcotics Anonymous sponsor who eventually emerges as one of the main antagonists of the season. The following year, she played the role of Grace Valentine/Aphrodite in The CW’s romantic comedy-drama television series ‘Valentine’. She next portrayed the part of a powerful wardrobe stylist Vivienne in The CW’s teen drama series ‘The Beautiful Life: TBL’. The series was cancelled after two episodes and the first five episodes of it was later streamed on You Tube. In 2010, she began appearing in the recurring role of Agent Helena G. Wells in the second season of Syfy network's science fiction television series ‘Warehouse 13’ and continued with it till season five in 2014. Her performance in the series won her critical acclaim as well as a nomination in the 2012 ‘Portal Awards’.
Apart from these Jaime Murray also acted in an episode each of the television series ‘Love Soup’ (2005), ‘ShakespeaRe-Told’ (2005), ‘Poirot’ (2005), ‘The Mentalist’ (2009), ‘Eli Stone’ (2009), ‘NCIS’ (2009) and ‘Suite 7’ (2010). Thereafter, she was chosen to play the role of Gaia – a social climber and Lucretia's friend in the Starz's historical drama miniseries 'Spartacus: Gods of the Arena' (2011). In 2011-2012, she was seen in the recurring role of Olivia Charles in The CW's crime thriller drama series 'Ringer'. In 2013, she became a part of the star cast of Syfy network's science fiction western drama television series 'Defiance' and played one of the main roles of Stahma Tarr in its three seasons till 2015.
Jaime Murray, then, bagged recurring roles in three other TV series. These were ABC’s ‘Once Upon a Time’ (2016–2017), The CW's ‘The Originals’ (2018) and NBC’s ‘Midnight, Texas’ (2018). In the first of these, which was a fantasy adventure drama series, she played the role of Fiona/the Black Fairy whereas in the second, which was fantasy supernatural drama series, she was seen in the role of Antoinette. The last of these was yet another supernatural drama series in which she portrayed the character of Delilah. Following these she lent her voice to the role of Carmilla, a scheming vampire mistress and member of Dracula's war council, in Netflix's adult animated dark fantasy action horror series ‘Castlevania’. She voiced the role in two seasons (2-4) of the series from 2018 to 2021. The show received positive reviews from critics and audience alike. In 2019, she bagged yet another recurring role of Theresa Walker/Nyssa Al Ghul in fifth and final season of Fox television superhero crime drama television series 'Gotham'. The season and the series itself generally received appreciation from critics.
During this decade Jaime Murray also acted in an episode each of TV series ‘The Finder’ (2012), ‘Childrens Hospital’ (2012) and ‘Sleepy Hollow’ (2015); became a part of the web series short ‘Jan’ (2012); appeared in the music video of Zac Brown Band’s song Goodbye in Her Eyes’ (2012); and lent her voice to the role of Hedira in the video game titled ‘Lichdom: Battlemage’ (2014).
