After essaying minor roles in few TV-series, Linda Carroll Hamilton’s first substantial role came in the soap-opera ‘Secrets of Midland Heights’ (1979-1980). She made her film debut with the thriller ‘Tag: The Assassination Game’ (1982).
In 1982, Hamilton featured in the TV-movie ‘Country Gold,’ and the series ‘King’s Crossing,’ followed by starring roles in ‘Children of the Corn’ and ‘The Stone Boy.’ Her breakthrough role as ‘Sarah Connor’ in the action-sci-fi mega-hit ‘The Terminator’ (1984) brought her fame. It was followed by the successful action-thriller ‘Black Moon Rising’ (1986) and the critically acclaimed series ‘Beauty & the Beast’ (1987), which fetched nominations.
Hamilton starred in the fantasy-comedy ‘Mr. Destiny’ (1990), and the highly successful ‘Terminator-2: Judgment Day’ (1991), earning awards. She received accolades for the TV-movie ‘A Mother’s Prayer’ (1995), and the mega-hit thriller ‘Dante’s Peak’ (1997).
Hamilton’s other appearances include the political-thriller ‘Shadow Conspiracy’ (1997), the 1998 TV movies ‘On the Line,’ ‘Point Last Seen,’ ‘The Color of Courage’ and others. After appearing in the war-drama ‘Missing in America’ (2005), she lent her voice to ‘Terminator Salvation’ (2009), and played recurring roles in the series ‘Chuck’ and ‘Weeds’ (2010), ‘The Line’ (2009), and ‘Defiance’ (2014-2015). Hamilton was once again seen as ‘Sarah Connor’ in ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ (2019).
