Samuel Henry John Worthington started his career with a small role in ‘Bootmen’ (2000). That same year, he appeared in the TV-series ‘JAG,’ ‘Water Rats,’ and ‘Blue Healer.’
Worthington starred in the indie-film “Getting’ Square’ (2003), followed by the lead role in the acclaimed series ‘Love My Way’ (2004). His performance in the romantic-drama film ‘Somersault’ (2004) fetched him awards. After starring in the 2004 film ‘Thunderstruck,’ he featured in the medical-drama series ‘The Surgeon’ (2005).
Worthington next appeared in ‘The Great Raid’ (2005), and then, in the indie-horror film ‘Rogue’ (2007). He starred in the 4th installment of the ‘Terminator’ franchise, ‘Terminator Salvation’ (2009). That same year, he starred in the mega-hit sci-fi epic ‘Avatar’ earning praise and awards.
Thereafter, Worthington starred as ‘Perseus’ in the action-fantasy film ‘Clash of Titans’ (2010) and its sequel, ‘Wrath of Titans’ (2012). In 2010, he also played the lead in ‘Last Night,’ ‘The Debt,’ and ‘Love & Distrust,’ followed by ‘Texas Killing Fields’ in 2011.
Worthington’s performance in the suspense-thriller ‘Man on a Ledge’ (2012) fetched appreciation. His other films include ‘Drift’ (2013), ‘Sabotage’ (2014), ‘Paper Planes’ (2015), ‘Everest’ (2015), ‘Hacksaw Ridge’ (2016), ‘The Shack’ (2017), ‘The Titan’ (2018), ‘Fractured’ (2019), ‘Lansky’ (2021), and the anthology-series ‘Manhunt: Unabomber’ (2017).
