Rebecca Schaeffer was an American model and actress, best known for playing ‘Patricia “Patti" Russell’ in the TV sitcom ‘My Sister Sam’ (1986-1988). The series was a hit in its first season, but low ratings from the beginning of the second season let to its cancellation. She began modeling in school and soon moved to New York to pursue a career in the same. As a model, she was the cover girl of ‘Seventeen’ magazine. She made her TV debut in the American soap opera ‘One Life to Live,’ in 1985. She also appeared in shows such as ‘Amazing Stories’ (1986), ‘Radio Days’ (1987), ‘Out of Time’ (1988), ‘Scenes from the Class Struggle in Beverly Hills’ (1989), and ‘The End of Innocence’ (1990), which was released posthumously. She was last seen in the TV film ‘Voyage of Terror: The Achille Lauro Affair’ (1990) which was also released posthumously. Rebecca was shot by a stalker in 1989.
