Elaine Stritch was an American actress and singer best known for her ‘Broadway’ performances in plays, such as, ‘Loco’ (1946), ‘Bus Stop’ (1956), ‘Sail Away’ (1962), and ‘Company’ (1971). She is also known for her role as ‘Dorothy McNab’ in the British comedy TV series ‘Two’s Company’ (1975-79), for which, she won a ‘BAFTA Award’ in 1979. She won ‘Emmy Award’ for ‘Law & Order’ (1973), '30 Rock’ (2007), and for television documentary of her one-woman show’ (2004). She made her stage debut in 1944. She made her screen debut in the TV series ‘The Growing Paynes,’ in 1948. She made her film debut in the 1956 film ‘The Scarlet Hour.’ Some of her popular films include ‘Three Violent People’ (1956), ‘The Perfect Furlough’ (1958), ‘Who Killed Teddy Bear’ (1965), ‘September’ (1987), and ‘River of Fundament’ (2014).
