Based on the 1959 novel by Robert Bloch, the movie follows the story of a secretary Marion Crane, who, frustrated with her life, steals $40,000 cash from her employer and leaves Phoenix, Arizona. She checks in at Bates Motel owned by friendly Norman Bates who appears to have a dominating mother.

Mike Vargas, a Mexican narcotics officer, gets involved in a car bomb blast case as the car has crossed from Mexico to America.
